Our Story

Emporium de Coconut was founded by husband-and-wife team Rob and Youlette Davis, with a vision to celebrate the versatility and richness of coconuts. Initially, we focused on creating coconut-based food, body care, and agricultural products for the local Bahamian market. As our business flourished, we ventured into the tourism market, relocating to the vibrant downtown Bay Street, Nassau, Bahamas.
With this expansion, we introduced a variety of new offerings, including our now top-selling rum and vodka liqueurs. Our downtown location is more than just a store—it’s an experience! We serve freshly brewed coffee, espresso, mixed drinks, and homemade ice cream. Visitors can immerse themselves in history by exploring our collection of antiques, some over a century old. A true highlight is our 1954 Sebring Jukebox, lovingly rescued and refurbished by Rob, delighting customers with its crisp, timeless music. Play the video below and enjoy the sound!
In July 2024, we took the next exciting step by launching our Emporium de Coconut booth at Nassau Cruise Port, where visitors are greeted by our charismatic resident pirate promoting our signature Pirate’s Pit Stop Café Liqueur.
Reflecting the rich pirate history of The Bahamas, we have rebranded our Bay Street location to Pirate’s Pit Stop. Today, our business is a fusion of history, flavor, and excellent customer service, welcoming locals and visitors alike to enjoy the treasures of The Bahamas.
So, Arrr, me hearties! Come aboard 'n enjoy a jolly good time with us!
