Our Story

Pirate’s Pit Stop is a locally owned coffee and ice cream shop in downtown Nassau, Bahamas, founded by husband and wife team Rob and Youlette Davis.   Established in 2022, the business was created to provide both visitors and locals with high-quality coffee and handcrafted ice cream as an alternative to imported brands commonly found in the tourism market.

With over 10 years of food processing experience, Pirate’s Pit Stop specializes in premium coffee beans that are imported and then roasted, ground, and flavored in-house. While The Bahamas does not produce coffee due to its climate, the company focuses on delivering fresh, small-batch roasted coffee to ensure superior quality and flavor. Customers can choose from espresso, dark roast, medium roast, light roast, and flavored coffee, available both freshly brewed and as pre-packaged options to take home.

In addition to coffee, Pirate’s Pit Stop offers handcrafted ice cream and gelato made with carefully selected ingredients, including dairy-free sorbets.  The shop is designed as a family-friendly destination where customers can relax and enjoy freshly prepared products in a welcoming environment.

The owners also operate Emporium de Coconut at Nassau Cruise Port, where customers can purchase their signature Bahamian coffee, pepper sauces, and all-natural body care products, some of which are featured in select Celebrity Cruise gift shops.
